Learn to sing harmony

Open to all men, no particular singing experience needed. 

Wight Harmony, the Isle of Wight’s premier male barbershop  chorus, is launching its latest free ‘LEARN TO SING HARMONY’ course. The five-week course is for all male singers aged 18  and over, and is free of charge. Focussing on a different  aspect of harmony singing each week, the course is run by  directors and coaches who will take singers through all the  steps needed to be a good harmony singer in a choir. On  top of this, skills are refined so that singers cannot only sing in close harmony but also sing in an a cappella (unaccompanied by any musical instrument). 

Wight Harmony welcomes all male singers to this course. If  those attending have not sung before, not sung since they  went to school, or cannot read music, this is not a problem.  They will have access to teaching tracks of music to help  them learn and leaders to help them find their voice. If they  do already sing but haven’t recently, or they already sing in  a choir and want a challenge of a different style or perhaps  to try a different voice part, everyone is most welcome. For  those that are unsure, they will be given help to pick a voice part that suits their range from bass, baritone, lead and tenor to help them learn a new song, together with the members  of Wight Harmony.
